Retail Operations Supervisor (Tellers)

Manager:
Vice President Consumer Banking and Mortgages

Basic Function:
To supervise the daily operations of the teller staff according to established policies and procedures. Responsible for the efficient operations of the teller area. This position must empathize with the needs and concerns of the customer and/or employees while following bank policy. Resolves problems with equipment malfunctions and teller transactions procedures. Provides training for new and existing tellers and appraising performance to staff. This position also ensures that tellers receive sales and product training with a commitment to established referral program.

Maintain a high level of retail banking knowledge and provide good, efficient customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and increase customer commitment to the bank through cross-selling of services. The incumbent sells traditional banking products, and provide necessary service for those products.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of teller experience and supervision or oversight experience.
• Complete technical knowledge of PC Teller software, procedures, bank policies and standards.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions, exercise good judgement and adhere to bank policies.
