Basic Function: Prepare statements and checks to send to the customer. Maintain internet banking password and user id information for personal and business customers. Handle customer inquires in a professional and courteous manner via customer service inquiry line. Handle customer account maintenance. Record and verify signatures and endorsements on high dollar and two signature required checks; sort into other checks. Microfilm all items and file properly. Process returned statement mail. Research and clear all amounts that reject to the Item Processing (IP) Suspense, Exception Item Module (EIM), and Paperless Item Module (PIM) outstanding ledger balance items. Reconcile and Balance related general ledger accounts.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess excellent customer service skills; in a bank operations setting in a plus.
- Knowledge of bank policies, including service charge assessment and compliance issues in regard to disclosure of account information
- Knowledge and ability to use the CRT, PC, typewriter, adding machine, and ability to use microfilm/microfiche machine.
- Possess well-developed verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet or exceed sales referral goals or measurements.
- Good communication skills.
