Basic Function: Daily resolution of exception item processing (Overdrafts, Non-Post, Stop Pays, Deposit Returns, Dual Signature Items, Large Dollar Items, Suspense Items, & Deposit Corrections) to meet all regulatory & data processor time guidelines. Responsible for Collection Item processing. Daily review and resolution of Item Processing (IP) Suspense, Exception Item Module (EIM), and Paperless Item Module (PIM) outstanding ledger balance items. Reconcile and Balance related general ledger accounts.
Daily approval of Accounts Payable invoices for payment. Daily update of general ledger transaction descriptions on the FISERV FMS system. Provide leadership oversight.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to work well with others in a cooperative, pleasant, and professional manner; supervision skills are a plus.
- Possess excellent customer service skills; in a bank operations setting in a plus.
- Knowledge of bank policies, including service charge assessment and compliance issues in regard to disclosure of account information.
- Knowledge and ability to use the CRT, PC, typewriter, adding machine, and ability to use microfilm/microfiche machine.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with Board members, management, staff, outside consultants, vendors, and regulators.
- Ability to meet or exceed sales referral goals and/or departmental measurements.
