Accounting Specialist & Internal Auditor

Manager:
Chief Financial Officer

Basic Function:
Responsible for shareholder relations and accounting operations to provide accurate financial reporting that meets all regulatory requirements for North Milwaukee Bancshares (holding company) and all of its non-bank subsidiaries (50% of duties). Serve as North Milwaukee State Bank's Internal Auditor and perform project coordination and financial analysis for the bank (50% of duties).

Problem Solving:
The incumbent must exercise sound judgment in order to safeguard the Bank's information and assets. The incumbent must maintain organizational relationships that do no conflict with his or her independence and Internal Audit accountability. The incumbent must exercise sound discretion in dealing with customers and vendors in particular, and the public in general.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

• College degree in Accounting or Management Information Systems or 4 years of experience in the related field and at least 4 accounting courses to include Auditing.
• Thorough technical knowledge of accounting principles.
• Understanding of Bank regulations and policies.
• Ability to read policies and regulatory material and translate that material for other personnel within the organization.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with Board members, management, staff, outside consultants, vendors, and regulators.
• Keen ability to adapt to rapid change in business and banking environments with extreme attention to detail.
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Windows XP, and the ability to utilize other computer based programs.
